The James Chicago Review

If you don't get the hint from the bustling bar scene spilling into the lobby or the antique suitcases stacked as an art piece near the elevator, the James further announces its hipster pedigree when you enter your room; preprogrammed alt-rock plays on the iPod-ready stereo system perched on the bar beneath the ready-to-party bottles (and minis) of vodka, whiskey, and rum. Some rooms feature not one but two flat-screen TVs, not to mention Kiehl's bath products and design-conscious furnishings like platform beds and full-length mirrors. The relatively hands-off service is fitting enough—for a party hotel.

Unfortunately I haven't gotten a chance to be in the hotel yet. I had made a reservation for my anniversary but had mixed up the dates. After calling and fixing the issue I didn't worry about it when they charged my card. I assumed they just took payment ahead of time. I only found out they had charged for a no show after calling to add a day to the reservation. After calling 4-5 times I still have not gotten a solid response. Very upsetting
