This sophisticate sets out to prove that Chinese specialties can go well beyond deep-fried prawns and Kung Pao chicken. It succeeds with strong seafood offerings, such as baked clams, Peking-style lobster, or Dungeness crab, fried and served whole seasoned with salt. It also offers a separate menu including "delicacies" such as shark's-fin soup and pork belly. While the restaurant accommodates groups of 10 easily, seating is generally cramped and not for serenity-seekers, but the decent prices, good food, and friendly service make up for the surroundings.
