K Joe's Be-Bop Cafe and Jazz Emporium. Joe's looks like a classic jazz club with a raised stage but plays like a family restaurant on raucous Navy Pier. Ribs and creole fare are clan-pleasing, and the jazz bands -- booked most nights and during no more Sunday brunch -- lift Joe's from merely touristy to actually enjoyable.
