Cyrano's Bistrot Wine Bar & Cabaret Review

Cyrano's flies under the radar in restaurant-rich River North, which works to your advantage if you want a spontaneous meal. Chef and owner Didier Durand presents the food of his birthplace, Bergerac, in this cheerful restaurant. Traditional starters such as onion tart, lobster bisque, pâtés, and rillettes lead into mains of rotisserie duck, cassoulet, and rabbit fricassee. The wine list includes many vintages from lesser-known producers in southern France. The lower-level cabaret, Café Simone, is open on weekends and offers half-size entrées at half the price.
