Every day is Mardi Gras at Heaven on Seven, which pursues a good time all the time—and even more so during Cubs season. Tables are centered with a daring collection of hot sauces, and the food, though it's well shy of ambrosia, is plentiful and filling. Cheddar-jalapeño biscuits and seven-layer cake are great menu book ends.

The gumbo is great. Pretty lively place, small but nice. The biscuits were great as well. The jamblya was spicey but great!!

We took the kids here. Not a good spot for my picky 2 & 4 year old. The chicken tenders had too much black pepper for them. And they wouldn't eat the cheese grits. Go figure. The grownups on-the-other-hand LOVED it! Yep, the gumbo is that good, and the cheese grits were yummy(I didn't even know I liked cheese grits). We went around 11 and just missed the lunch rush.
