Osteria via Stato

Fodor's Review:

It's no-brainer Italian here, where the shtick is to feed you without asking too many questions. If you opt for the $39.95 prix-fixe, you pick an entrée from the $36 prix-fixe, and waiters do the rest, working the room with several rounds of communal platters of antipasti, then pasta, followed by your entrée, and dessert. There's even a "just bring me wine" program that delivers preselected Italian vino to your table throughout your meal. The results are savory enough, but Osteria shines brightest at making you feel comfortable. If conversation is important, make a reservation here. Or, for a faster meal, dine in the pizza bar.
