Fodor's Review:

If you enjoy music under the stars, the outdoor concerts at Ravinia Park are a stellar treat. The Ravinia Festival is the summer home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Come for jazz, chamber music, pop, and dance performances. Pack a picnic and blanket and sit on the lawn for a little more than the cost of a movie ($10 to $20). Seats are also available in the pavilion for a significantly higher price ($20 to $80). Restaurants and snack bars are on park grounds. Concerts usually start at 8 PM; be at the park at 6:30 to park and get settled.
