Charnley-Persky House Museum Foundation

Charnley-Persky House Museum Foundation Review

Frank Lloyd Wright designed the Charnley-Persky House with his mentor Louis Sullivan. This almost-austere residence represents one of Wright's first significant forays into residential design. Historians still squabble about who designed what here, but it's easy to imagine that the young go-getter had a hand in the cleanly rendered interior. Note how the geometric exterior looks unmistakably modern next to its fussy neighbors. Public tours of both the interior and exterior are available. Wednesday tours, while free, are less comprehensive than Saturday tours.
