Fodor's Review:

Viennese coffee roaster Julius Meinl operates this very European café in an unexpected location at the intersection of Addison and Southport, just a few blocks from Wrigley Field. Comfortable banquettes and a well-stocked supply of international newspapers bid coffee sippers to stick around. Vegetable focaccia and pear and brie sandwiches, hazelnut and blue-cheese salads, mushroom soup, and loads of European pastries feed the peckish. We love the Austrian breakfast of poached egg, ham, and Emmentaler cheese—this is the only place in the city that serves it. Classical and jazz combos entertain Friday and Saturday evenings.
