Japonais
Japonais Review
Style and substance come together at sleek and chic Japonais. Don't be intimidated by the lengthy menu. Trust servers to direct you to savories such as lobster spring rolls, sweet-vinegar-seaweed salad, and a raft of winning maki-roll combinations including octopus with spicy tuna. Traditional tables are supplemented by a couch-filled lounge also serving the entire menu. Downstairs an indoor-outdoor bar provides seasonal seating along the Chicago River—don't attempt it on weekends unless you have sharp elbows.
