A wonder of modern architecture, this French-owned gem is a prism-shaped structure that juts over the street and widens as it rises. Design sensibility shines in guest rooms, too, with beechwood furnishings, Barcelona chairs, and marble bathrooms bedecked with bamboos (think feng shui). The sophisticated Cafe des Architectes is notable for its 30-minute executive lunch, while Le Bar is a homey den of sorts, replete with books about architecture and a rack of international newspapers. The hotel's on-site boutique, Petit Bijou, is a far cry from the typical souvenir shop, carrying handcrafted jewelry, paper goods, and more.

We stayed here for just one night after almost 2 weeks of cheap accommodation in DC and NY and absolutely loved it. Yes it was expensive but it was so excellent. The rooms aren't huge I guess compared to US sizes but it's a hotel not your home. The restaurant was fine too and excellent breakfast.

We stayed here for 5 nights in early December. I thought the rooms would be bigger. Dont get me wrong it was nice, but for the price I would have liked a little more room to move around. The people at the hotel were great though. Very good service.

This was our second stay here. We had an deluxe suite with a wonderful view. The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel is conveniently located. Service and attention could not have been better. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Chicago.
