Lou Mitchell's Restaurant Review

Shelve your calorie and cholesterol concerns; Lou Mitchell's heeds no modern health warnings. The diner, a destination close to Union Station since 1923, specializes in high-fat breakfasts and comfort-food lunches. You can start the day with eggs and homemade hash browns by the skillet; later in the day this is the place to take a break for meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Though you'll almost certainly have to have deal with out-the-door waits, staffers dole out doughnut holes and Milk Duds to pacify hunger pangs.

  • Chicago and Where Else

We'd like to go for a few days but that's a lot of flying to spend 3-4 days in one place.

    Any add-ons in the area?

    Thanks. Read more
