Fodor's Expert Review Vivo

Vivo was trendy on this west-of-the-Loop stretch long before Randolph Street's restaurant row got hot, and it still draws a crowd. It may be slightly more about the scene—brick walls, black ceiling, open wine racks, and lots of pretty people—than the cuisine, but you'll find reliable Italian fare as well as a fun evening. You can't go wrong with bruschetta, beef tenderloin carpaccio, house-made tagliatelle, and wood-grilled Berkshire pork chops.
