Fodor's Review

It's been more than 10 years since the first SushiSamba opened in New York, serving a unique blend of Japanese, Peruvian, and Brazilian food and cocktails, and the Chicago outpost is still a happening scene. The trendy hot spot combines a nightclub vibe—dramatic multilevel design, freely flowing cocktails, the coed bathroom—with an inventive menu: all the usual sushi suspects are here, as well as miso-marinated Chilean sea bass, premium-grade Japanese Wagyu beef, and sashimi seviche such as salmon with blood orange and tomato. An all-weather rooftop lounge, popular with the late-night crowd, serves cocktails (including an impressive sake list) and the full menu.
