The French comfort food at this charming-but-cramped bistro in Bucktown is in a league of its own. The onion tart has been a signature dish of owner Jean-Claude Poilevey for years; he also does a succulent sautéed rabbit and a definitive salade Lyonnaise (mixed greens topped with bacon croutons and a poached egg). Save room for the fruit tarts. And don't attempt Le Bouchon on a Saturday night without a reservation.

nothing new or special here just mainstay french fare, not necessary to drive up to boystown for that. there is better french food to be had in chicago.
