Fodor's Review

Named for its address on Honolulu's premier Waialae Avenue, 3660 was one of the first to bring fresh dining to Kaimuki. Since its opening in 1992, dozens of other restaurants have planted their neighborhood flag, but loyal diners keep coming back here. Sample chef Russell Siu's New York Steak Alaea (grilled with Hawaiian clay salt), the potato-crusted crab cakes, or the signature ahi katsu wrapped in nori (seaweed) and deep-fried with a wasabi-ginger butter sauce. Siu combines a deep understanding of local flavors with a sophisticated palate, making this place especially popular with homegrown gourmands.
