Molokai Places

West Molokai

The remote beaches and rolling pastures on Molokai's west end are presided over by Mauna Loa, a dormant volcano, and a sleepy little former plantation town of the same name. Papohaku, the Hawaiian Islands' second-longest white sand beach, is here, as is the 53,000-acre Molokai Ranch, which has closed its resort property, shut down ranch operations, and is up for sale.
