Golf in Molokai

Ironwood Hills Golf Course. Like the other 9-hole plantation-era courses with which it shares lineage, Ironwood Hills is not for everyone. It helps if you like to play laid-back golf with locals and can handle occasionally rugged conditions. On the plus side, most holes here offer lovely views of the ocean. Fairways are kukuya grass and run through pine, ironwood, and eucalyptus trees. Carts are rented, but there's not always someone there to rent you a cart—in which case, there's a wooden box for your green fee (honor system), and happy walking. Kalae Hwy., Kualapuu, 96757. 9 holes. 3088 yds. Par 35. Green Fee: $20. Facilities: Putting green, golf carts, pull carts.
