The Manna of Mana Foods

This is a "Don't Miss" destination if a grocery store is an important destination for you. It certainly is for locals. This isn't just the best health food store on the North Shore, it's arguably the best health food store on the island. (And there are certainly some other good ones.) The staff is generally of the friendly, free-spirited variety and they have always been extremely helpful in my experience. Stand out areas here include their

amazing produce with tons of local goods, the amazing cheese section near the front/middle of the store, and the wonderful Vitamin Room with all manner of local goods like kava as well as homeopathic goods, soaps, essences, and much more! A note on the name: It is correctly spelled "Mana", as that is a Polynesian word for "supernatural". These are supernatural foods! It just happens to have a spelling close to "manna" from the Bible... a miraculous food that sustained the Israelites. Both seem to work! Parking can be tricky when it's busy... the lot is not very big... and a few items are pricey, but generally priced better than similar items in other health food stores. This is a great store and a regular for many locals who will drive here from well outside the area. Well worth a visit.
