Wonderful French breads baked in old brick ovens (dating to 1935), light lunch fare such as quiche and sandwiches, and irresistible desserts such as chocolate éclairs make this a popular lunch spot in Central Maui. Baker José Krall was trained in his homeland of France, and his wife, Claire, is a Maui native whose friendly face you often see when you walk in. Standouts include the focaccia, Caesar salads, and homemade soups. José also creates impressive wedding and other specialty cakes such as Yule logs.
