Kapalua Spa Review

The spa's nondescript entrance opens onto an airy, modern beach house with a panoramic view of Kapalua Bay. With amenities including a gym, an infinity pool, and outdoor hydrotherapy circuits, you can easily spend a day meandering about the spa's three floors without feeling cooped up. The menu includes some ancient Hawaiian healing practices. The lomi wrap, designed by Big Island resident and healer Darrell Lapulapu, begins with a special cava tea for instant relaxation, is followed by a body wrap of cacao and kukui oil, and finishes with lomilomi (a traditional Hawaiian massage involving strokes down the length of the body). Men can enjoy a therapeutic beer bath, or a hot shave at the newly opened barber shop. The cafe and juice bar serve health potions that combine pure fruits and juiced veggies with natural additives like yogurt. Lunch can be served poolside or in the waiting areas.
