Fodor's Review

An authentic Italian dinner house and nightclub, this place is smack in the middle of Maui's paniolo (cowboy) town of Makawao. The brick wood-burning oven, imported from Italy, has been turning out perfect pies and steaming hot focaccia for more than 20 years. You can pair a pie with a salad (they're all big enough to share) and a couple of glasses of wine without breaking the bank. The daytime deli is fabulous for breakfast, cappuccino, croissants, and people-watching.

The place turns positively raucous—in a good way—on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights.

Early bird or STARVE !!

Limited number of pizzas made daily, only opened 5:30 am to 1pm. Stay away from moronic blonde with attitude and "Hang Looser" Sad experience for high season.. BJ's in Lahaina is better use of your time.

Canned Pasta Sauce is better than this!

My husband & I were unimpressed with Casanova. He was craving something other than fish so made the trek to Makawao. Cute town but skip the food.

Bread and Water

Food and atmosphere is great, but we were cursed with poor service (either because we didn't have a reservation or we were obviously tourists). Asked for water three times before catching a busboy passing by our table.

A little bit of Italy in Maui

Somewhat out of the way but worth the drive. The food was great and their wine list surprisingly good as well. Good value for your dollar. Go early as there is little parking and it is not the easiest place to find, especially after dark.
