Outside Kahului Airport at the busy intersection of Hana Highway and Dairy Road, this convenient restaurant (look for the green awning) serves the best Italian food in Central Maui. Owner Marco Defanis was a butcher in his former life and makes all his meatballs and sausages from scratch. Homemade pastas appear on the extensive menu and the vodka rigatoni is a must try. The Reuben sandwich is unforgettably good, the Greek Salad crunchy and fresh, and the tiramisu all cakey and creamy at the same time. Even the coffee, served in Mad Hatter-size cups, is made by nearby Maui Coffee Roasters; you can buy packages to take home. The local business crowd fills the place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
