You might never notice this lovely hotel because it's set back off the street, but it's worth a look. The standard rooms are fine—very clean and modern—but the best deal is to pay a little more for one of the suites. In these you'll get an enjoyable amount of space and jet nozzles in the bathtub. All rooms and suites have lanai. You can sample nightly entertainment by the large, heated pool or work out in the fitness center until 10 PM. The 6-mi-long stretch of Kamaole Beach I, II, and III is across the street. Pros: closest thing to a boutique hotel on the South Shore; Spices Restaurant on property is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cons: right in the center of Kihei, so traffic and some street noise are issues.
