Paia is arguably Maui's most interesting food town, and this Mediterranean-inspired place is right in the thick of it. The husband-and-wife owners, from England and Spain respectively, tiled the walk-up counter with Moroccan clay pieces, and teak- and coconut-wood tables are set in the middle of benches with Middle Eastern pillows. The seafood tapas platter sizzles with shrimp, calamari, and mussels cooked in garlic butter, white wine, and herbs. Fajita platters and paella are all the rage in Paia, and we recommend them here. On Saturday, come watch a classic movie on the big screen before ordering hot and crunchy popcorn, or lime cheesecake.
