A paved beach walk allows you to stroll among Wailea's prettiest properties, restaurants, and rocky coves. The trail teems with joggers in the morning hours. The makai, or ocean, side is landscaped with exceptionally rare native plants. Look for the silvery hinahina, named after the Hawaiian moon goddess because of its color. In winter this is a great place to watch whales.
