Hawaii regional cuisine finds superb expression here, in dishes like seared ahi atop coconut-scented "forbidden" rice, and braised short ribs garnished with just enough Maui pineapple relish to heighten hidden lemongrass and anise flavors. Even more delicious? As a Maui Seafood Watch participant, the restaurant agrees to only serve seafood that has been harvested sustainably. So go on -- order the Kona lobster. If the weather isn't too cold, the outdoor tables facing the West Maui Mountains can be even nicer than those with an ocean view.

Best meal in town

We had our best meal here during our stay in Maui. The food is rather good. My wife started with a delicious bean soup and took as an entree very fresh and excellently cooked scallops with nice sides. For me the tasty seared tuna together with a ribeye was a good combination. The ribeye was slightly overcooked but the quality of the meat fully compensated that. The plave is a bit difficult to find in the dark.

We visited this restaurant twice during our visit and really loved it. It has a beautiful view and the food was excellent. We loved the pineapple upside down cake. My husband and I are going back to Maui soon and this is the first place we want to eat at again.
