Makani Sands Review

Set right on a thin strip of sandy beach, this slightly older but well-maintained complex offers an economical way to stay on West Maui. All units open to the ocean, have wide lanai, and have been remodeled with new furnishings and kitchen and bathroom upgrades. The corner rooms (ending in 01) are best, with wraparound views. A freshwater pool is available for cooling off, and the renovated pool area has new gas grills and tiki torches.
