Though the address claims Kaanapali, this 12-story condominium complex is really in quiet, neighboring Honokowai. All of the studio, one-, and two-bedroom units in this building are oceanfront, with views of the ocean and nearby islands, and the spacious rooms and living areas can accommodate families easily. Built in 1974, the property has been regularly updated since, but the decor in individually owned units may vary. An elegant pool faces a sandy beach, which is good for snorkeling because of the shallow reef. Pros: the private lanai and floor-to-ceiling windows are great for watching Maui's spectacular sunsets; daily maid service. Cons: high-rise with an elevator; furnishings in some units may be worn; no shops or restaurants on property.
