Alaaina Ocean Vista Review
This B&B is on the grounds of an old banana plantation past Oheo Gulch (about a 40-minute drive past Hana town). Banana trees still populate the property alongside mango, papaya, and avocado trees. There's also a Balinese garden, complete with a lotus-shaped pond. The single room has a private lanai with an outdoor kitchenette, outdoor shower, and tub (there's a regular shower in the room as well), and astonishing views of the coastline. Sam and Mercury, a mother-daughter team, live in the main house on-site and are available to give tips and advice about exploring the area. This is a simple, back-to-nature kind of spot. Note that the owners prefer not to host children.

Altho the views and settings are magnificent, I was disappointed at the lack of amenities. i.e. no chairs in the bedroom in which to sit, powdered cream, fake orage juice (sunny d?) and no fruit for breakfast til late in the week

Absolutely stunning views; great attention to detail in Balinese garden; private lanai and outdoor shower make clothing optional. Beautiful bath with large shower made for couples. Comfortable built-in king bed. Outdoor kitchenette makes dining under the stars or rainbows an exquisite experience; plan ahead and bring your own food/beverages. All else provided. Bonus feature - totally away from phone, internet & cable, only TV/VCR/stereo which was so QUIET. A great retreat for couples or individuals!!!
