Despite its location in the center of bustling Paia town along Hana Highway, this stylish inn with Southeast Asian influences is refreshingly quiet and includes oceanfront accommodations. The original part of the property, constructed as a boarding house in 1927, reopened as a boutique property in 2008 and, due to its popularity, has been expanding ever since. Rooms are air-conditioned and the double-paned windows do a remarkable job of muffling the street noise. Each room has a phone, flat-screen television, colorful artwork, fully stocked minibar, and bathrooms with travertine tile and spa-quality Malie bath products from Kauai. Want more space? You can request one of the larger rooms in the newer part of the inn. A private pathway provides access to the beach at Paia Bay, a beachfront lounge with hot shower and picnic area. A separate luxuriously appointed three-bedroom house with full kitchen is about as close to the ocean as you can get without getting wet.
