Fodor's Review:

Listed on the Historic Register, the old Hanalei school has been refurbished and rented out to boutiques and restaurants. You can dig through '40s and '50s vintage memorabilia in the Yellow Fish Trading Company, or search for that unusual gift at Sand People. Buy beach gear at the classic Hanalei Surf Company, casual island wear at Hula Beach Clothing, or women's clothing at Tropical Tantrum. For the kids, pick up something at Rainbow Ducks Toys & Clothing. For a little exercise, catch a class at the Hanalei Yoga studio in the two-story modern addition to the center, which also houses Papaya's, a well-stocked health-food store.
