Yum Cha Asian Eatery

Updated 01/24/2014

Fodor's Review

Sightly off the grounds of the Grand Hyatt, at the Poipu Bay Golf Course, Yum Cha offers an appealing mix of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine, with such distinctive offerings as soy-ginger-glazed "spoon tender" short ribs, noodle and rice dishes, and kung pao chicken. More eclectic choices include green curry with spinach soba and fiddlehead fern soup. It's an easy walk, or take the hotel shuttle, and go early to enjoy a lovely view of the greens. Make a satisfying

meal from crab cakes, spring rolls, pot stickers, chicken satay, and roasted duck bao. The warm fried malasada, a favorite local Portuguese donut served with chocolate-coffee pot au creme, and the ginger crème brûlée are dynamite desserts. Also choose from a sake menu and specialty cocktails.
