It isn't easy to find lodgings on the West Side, but this old-fashioned inn does the job in Kalaheo town, where accommodations are otherwise unavailable. You can choose from studios, or one, two-, and three-bedroom suites. The suites also have a fridge and microwave, and a few have gas stoves if you want to eat at home. The rooms are very basic, but clean, with pillow-top beds for extra comfort. This property is a ways from the beach, but there's a great little hilltop 9-hole golf course just up the road, and it's an easy drive to Kokee State Park. One nice touch is the tropical fruit picked on-site and offered free to guests, local-style. Pros: Some units have kitchens, walking distance to restaurants. Cons: No beach, some traffic noise, no-frills lodgings.
