Keoki's Paradise

Keoki's Paradise Review

Built to resemble a dockside boathouse, this active, boisterous place fills up quickly at night thanks to the live music. Seafood appetizers span the tide from sashimi to Thai shrimp sticks, crab cakes, and scallops crusted in panko (Japanese-style bread crumbs). The day's fresh catch is available in half a dozen styles and sauces. And there's a sampling of beef, chicken, and pork-rib entrées for the committed carnivore. A lighter menu is available at the bar for lunch and dinner.

We were also pleasantly surprised at how good the food was for such a "touristy" restuarant. We were there in September 09 and enjoyed not only the lovely tropical surroundings but really good seafood. Tends to draw families so if you don't like to dine with kids around, might not be the place for you.

The early bird specials are outstanding: hors d'oeuvre, main meal and desert for $20. If you add 3 tastings of wine, add another $10. Food is fresh and very well prepared. The crab cakes remind me of the ones I had in Maryland. Petit filet mignon and all types of fish, with a choice of preparations, are high on my list of offerings here.

We were plesantly surprised by the food here. I had a lovely mahi and my fiance enjoyed his ono. The fish was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the ceasar salad that was served prior to our main dish.
