The healthful choices and cross-cultural flavors on Kukui's menu are well matched with its casual, open-air setting. The meals have hints of Hawaiian, Asian, and contemporary American cuisines. Slow-roasted prime rib, fresh catch, huli huli chicken (a Hawaiian version of barbecued chicken), penne with sun-dried tomato and macadamia pesto, and a surf-and-turf option are representative of the well-rounded fare. A prime rib and king crab buffet ($38) is served on Friday and Saturday nights in addition to the regular menu. An extensive breakfast buffet ($20) is offered every morning, or choose from the à la carte menu.
