Poipu Shores

Fodor's Review:

Sitting on a rocky point above pounding surf, this is a perfect spot for whale- or turtle-watching. Weddings are staged on a little lawn beside the ocean, and a sandy swimming beach is a 10-minute walk away. There are three low-rise buildings, with a pool in front of the middle one. Condo units are individually owned and decorated. All have large windows, and many of them have bedrooms on the ocean side; each unit either shares a sundeck or has a lanai. Pros: Every unit faces the water, oceanfront pool, wildlife viewing. Cons: Units vary widely in style, no resort amenities.
