Fodor's Review:

An old rock etched with kanji, Japanese characters, reminds you that the site of this condominium gem was formerly occupied by a Shinto temple. Two-bedroom rentals—equipped with full kitchens and private lanai—are a fair deal. Studios feature pull-down Murphy beds to create more daytime space. Ask for an oceanfront room to get the breeze. Pros: Discounts for extended stays; walking distance to shops, restaurants, and beach; turtle and monk seal sightings common. Cons: No-frills lodging, traffic noise in mountain-facing units.
