Hawaiian owned and operated, this oceanfront inn is an example of what island accommodations were like before the arrival of the megaresorts. This is basic, no-frills lodging. Furnishings are spare, simple, and clean. It's so retro it's unintentionally hip. A big grassy courtyard opens to the beach, and there's plenty of dining and shopping at the Coconut Marketplace. Pros: Convenient location. Cons: Coral reef makes ocean swimming marginal, modest property, no resort amenities.
