If you don't mind a no-frills atmosphere for affordable five-star food, this is the place. The husband of the husband-and-wife team that run the restaurant left his executive-chef position at Roy's to open a catering business. He leased a kitchen that happened to have a small dining area, and rather than let it go to waste, they open for dinner every evening except Monday. Specials, written on the whiteboard at the entrance, are always satisfying and delicious. The locals have this place figured out; they show up in droves. The food's fabulous, and the price is right. Bring your own bottle of wine; they will provide a corkscrew and wineglasses for a $5 corkage fee. The Lihue branch also serves lunch.

I've had a lot of good Italian food growing up in NY. Kauai Pasta definitely has it going on, the food is delicious!!! You practically get family size portions. We each had enough for lunch the next day. Mangia!
