Rob's Good Times Grill
Rob's Good Times Grill Review
Let loose at this popular sports bar, which features DJs spinning Friday and Saturday from 10 pm to 2 am with the occasional live band. Tuesday offers swing dancing, while Wednesday you can kick up your heels with country line dancing from 8 to 10 pm. Karaoke follows both, while Sunday and Monday are full-on karaoke all night.

This is a great local hang out. More of a sports bar/restaurant than a nightclub type venue. Good food, friendly staff and clientele....families, singles, couples, sports fans---a good mix!
Ghetto?!! (past reviewer)---not even close! We always come back to Rob's and tell our friends to stop in. They remember what you eat and how you want it cooked and what you drink even if you come in only once a year! -

Totally agree with "therealdj" It's very territorial! We felt little of the "aloha" spirit that is so well advertised across the island. We thought maybe it was just a short staff situation(we went on a Wednesday night) we were served by this pleasant girl who took very good care of us but then when what looked like "bar regulars" walked in she kind of seemed to forget that we were there. We met some nice country line dancers, an older filipino lady said if we liked dancing to come back on Thursday, so we figured we'd try maybe it would be a different vibe, maybe we were tired from our horseback riding that day.
Anyway on our arrival Thursday we sat at a booth, ordered food from another young lady who mentioned "everything was good on the menu" food was ok...but it wasn't all hot. And the fries were not cooked through.
Dancing started around 10 pm, or atleast the DJ came in around that time. No one was dancing. About an hour later people started flowing in, our waitress was still attentive.
After having a few cocktails my sister and I needed to go to the restroom, where we found a slight line, the bathroom was disgusting, there was water all over the floor, and of the 2 bathrooms only one was apparently working.
As we came out we overheard an older woman talking to a friend and she stated "we used to go out back when the lines were like this, but can't now they lock it."
To our astonishment with all the reports of things that happen to nightclubs, this bar, bolt lock their rear exit! Why any staff would have absolute disregard for the safety of their patrons baffles me!
We danced for a little while but felt like we were being given a death stare, so we paid our tab and went back to our hotel.
We cannot say how the overall staff experience is, because it was a 50/50 shot for us. But the food is not the greatest. The DJ was average, DJ played different genre's in a 3 minute period...just killed the vibe. Average cocktails. Next time we return to the island, we doubt we will return to this bar. -

I have seen better clubs in the the ghetto... The class of people and the look of the club is absolutely horrible. It looks like somebody put a bar, disco lights, and a dj in a rubbish bin... The DJ's were not the best on the island... If you do drugs you will love this place. I must have been asked twenty times if I wanted to pick something up,"Whatever I needed she could get!!"... By waitresses and other patrons... By far the best spot on Kauai is at the Sheraton hotel... I can't remember the name of the club, but it is defintely classier and better... Worth the 10 dollar cover charge!!!
