Fodor's Review

Chai and Joy Chaowasaree's devotion to their native Thailand is evident in the gilt model of Bangkok's royal palace that graces the entryway of this restaurant just below street level on a busy Waikiki corner. Especially good is Singha Thai's way with seafood—Siamese fighting fish, a whole fish sizzling in garlic-chili oil, or fish in Thai chili, ginger, and black-bean sauce—and the contemporary additions to the menu, such as blackened ahi summer rolls.

Overpriced and mediocre

We were sorely disappointed by Singha. The food was overpriced ($22.95 for a tiny serving of mahi mahi in red curry) and not particularly good. Stick to chinatown where the pad thai is less than $20.

Singha Blah!

I was looking forward to this place after reading all the great reviews. I was SORELY disappointed. Poor service, TERRIBLE excuse for Thai food. I admit I've had worse Thai but not at these astronomical prices. The only thing worth the money here were the seared ahi spring roll appetizer. Save your money and go somewhere else. I had better Thai in Haliewa for $20 total. My bill here was $90 with no cocktails. I should have just opened the

car window and thrown my $90 out the window. It would have been better spent.
