Hawaii Prince Hotel & Golf Club Waikiki Review

This slim high-rise with 521 oceanfront rooms and 57 luxury suites fronts Ala Wai Yacht Harbor at the ewa (west) edge of Waikiki. It's close to Honolulu's downtown business district, the Hawaii Convention Center, and the world-class shopping at Ala Moana Center. There's no beach here, but Ala Moana Beach Park is a 10-minute stroll along the harbor, and the hotel also offers complimentary shuttle service around Waikiki and its surrounding beaches. It's the only resort in Waikiki with a golf course—the 27-hole Arnold Palmer-designed golf course is in Ewa Beach, about a 45-minute ride from the hotel. The sleek, modern Prince looks to Asia both in its high-style decor and such pampering touches as the traditional oshiburi (chilled hand towel) for refreshment upon check-in. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the harbor—ideal for sunsets—make up for the lack of lanai.
