Explore Kailua from the ocean alone or with skilled tour guides who deliver the boats right to the beach (or load them on your car, if you want to go elsewhere on the island), free of charge. Guides are trained in history, geology, and birdlife of the area. Kayak a full day with a guide for $89; this includes lunch, snorkeling gear, and transportation from Waikiki. The shop is in an open-air market next to Oahu Dive Center, where scuba divers can rent or buy whatever they need for a successful underwater excursion.

We found this little jewel by accident. We were heading for one heavily advertised kayak company in Kailua. We stopped by the tourist information office and found Twogood. Visited both companys on a fact finding mission. Twogood spent ample time explaining the packages, showing us the kayaks, giving all the details. Visited the advertised kayak company, asked the same questions, and was handed another advertisement with info. Felt they didn’t have time for detail explanations. There are just some questions you need clarified before you give someone a large sum of money. (This was our first time) We used Twogood and never looked back. The staff never tired of my endless questions the morning of our guided tour – not knowing what to expect on the kayaking adventure. Gabriel was the best guide – patient, informative (the conversation was something besides idle talk) Bottom line, you can choose the heavy advertised company where it seemed we would be treated like just another tourist (run through like cattle) OR you can choose Twogood where we felt like individuals. I wouldn't think if going to another kayak company. I's the best value for the money Candy
