Among restaurants with the best views in Honolulu, 30th-floor Sarento's, which looks toward the Koolau Mountains and the South Shore, is a popular special-date venue. The menu offers regional Italian cuisine, and the tiger prawn scampi and osso buco are local favorites. Meat eaters lean toward the melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon topped with gorgonzola cream sauce. The deep wine cellar contains some gems, and there may not be more attentive service staff in the city. For a less spendy meal, you may want to opt for happy hour and order from their appetizer menu, which is filled with tasty choices.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Ilikai and went up to Sarento's for cocktails with friends. The bar wasn't crowded and offered spectacular views. We had an appetizer which I remember liking, but the main reason to check out Sarento's is the view. Wonderful!
