Fodor's Review:

Family-operated Punawai provides all the basics for those on a budget. The apartment hotel is across busy Saratoga Road from Fort DeRussy Beach. Each unit comes with a full kitchen and lanai. Studios have bathrooms with showers only. One-bedroom units have either two twins or one king-size bed, while one-bedroom deluxe units have one queen, one twin, and a sofa bed. Furnishings are simple, decor is Spartan, and there are no telephones. Pros: Clean and efficient, great prices. Cons: No phones, rooms very basic.
