Fodor's Review

The three-tiered, revolving Top of Waikiki has amazing 360-degree views of Honolulu (a full rotation takes one hour), but unlike most of its peers this restaurant has food to match the stunning panorama. Lance Kosaka, who was executive chef at Alan Wong's Pineapple Room, turns out contemporary American dishes with island flavor. Scallops with sweet corn pudding and pancetta and haute nachos made with chorizo and Asiago bechamel are lively starters. For dinner, although they may sound basic, the seafood pasta and garlic rib eye are the most popular entrées because they're just that good. To get a sunset view, grab dinner from 5 to 6 pm, or take a seat at the bar in the center of the restaurant for happy hour–priced cocktails and appetizers.
