The Willows. Locals come to this buffet-only spot to celebrate things like graduations and showers, and it has its share of wedding receptions (there's a chapel on site). It's an acre oasis of pavilions overlooking a network of ponds (once natural streams flowing from mountain to sea). The Island-style comfort food includes its signature chicken-and-shrimp curry (Joy of Cooking style, not Indian), crab legs and lobster claws, along with local favorites such as laulau (a steamed bundle of ti leaves containing pork, butterfish, and taro tops), oxtail soup and kalua pig. 901 Hausten St., Moiliili, Honolulu, HI, 96826. 808/952–9200. 808/952–0050. willowshawaii.com. I went to eat there Saturday night with my family on our last night in Oahu. Not knowing it was a buffet, price $29.99 a person. Let me say I did not go back for seconds. The food was luke warm to cool. Save your money and go else where. The dessert table was as bad as the entrees.
