Fodor's Review

When you go on your big adventure to the North Shore, you might want to stop at this crowded little room, which serves the best Thai food on the island. (It started out as a food truck in Haleiwa that garnered a devoutly loyal following.) Sanith "Opel" Sirichandhra and his wife Aoy are neighborhood celebrities for their down-to-earth ways and pungent, addictive tom kha (coconut curry) soup, green curry, and drunken noodles. Opel (yes, the spelling is different from that of the restaurant's name) is a vegetarian, so he's tuned in to accommodating herbivores and people with food sensitivities. And if you don't know what to order, just ask. Opel loves picking dishes for his customers.
