One of the chic-est hotels on the Waikiki scene, the Trump has been drawing rave reviews since it opened in late 2009. The innovative sixth-floor lobby—with infinity pool—allows guests to see over the tree line at Fort DeRussy to enjoy views of the Pacific while checking in. The rooms are luxurious, with Sub-Zero refrigerators, Wolf ranges, and Trump's signature pillow-top mattresses; service is equally good. The attaché desk will do your grocery and supply shopping for you for a small fee, and the hotel offers signature experiences across the island. It's across the street from the beach, but there's a designated stretch of sand with umbrellas for guests—and you'll be provided with a beach bag containing water, fresh fruit, and a towel. At night, experience "liquid artistry" at the posh Waiolu Ocean View Lounge, which has, arguably, the best sunset views in Waikiki.
